Indianapolis Colts Season Preview
Despite Austin Collie, Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai, Dominic Rhodes, and Anthony Gonzalez missing an average of 10.4 games each last season, Peyton Manning propelled the Colts offense to an NFL best 4,609 passing yards and the 4th highest scoring offense in the league. The Colts were 29th in rushing offense but still won the AFC South, finishing with a 10-6 record.

This season, Indy will hope for a bit more balance in the offense and a healthier backfield. For the 2011 season, the Colts are projected to have a 61% probability of winning the AFC South and a 68% likelihood of making the playoffs.  They however must deal with the injury issues of the most player of all: Manning. If he stays healthy, Indy remains the favorite in the division.  If the team is forced to go with Kerry Collins or Curtis Painter for any significant amount of time, the playoff outlook becomes very dicey.

The Colts were not only impacted by injuries on the offensive side of the ball; linebacker Clint Sessions only played 5 games during the 2010 season after leading the team in tackles during the 2009 season. If the Colts can manage a relatively healthy 2011 campaign, they should be AFC contenders yet again.  Everything depends on the health of Manning, which doesn't look good at the moment. On the eve of the season, new rumors emerged hinting that #18 could miss the entire season. Understandably, Colts fans are a bit nervy at the moment.
