About AccuScore

AccuScore has been simulating sports since 2004. The idea has not changed since: play a game thousands of times, count what happens, and compare the result with the price a sportsbook is offering. What has changed is the number of sports, the speed, and the fact that every pick we publish is now graded in public.

How the model works

Each fixture is simulated 10,000 times with the lineups, starters and conditions expected for that game — not with season averages. Running the game rather than fitting a formula to it is what produces a full distribution instead of a single number: the chance each side wins, the projected score, and a probability attached to every spread and total on the board.

A projection on its own is not a bet. A bet exists when the simulated probability and the price offered disagree by enough to be worth taking — that gap is the expected value, and it is what the Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers measure. Tiers are computed live against current prices, so a pick that was Gold this morning may not be Gold now.

How we grade ourselves

Every published Gold and Platinum pick is settled against the final result at the odds it was published at — not the closing price, and not the best price available afterwards. Stakes are flat: one unit per pick. One pick per game. A pick whose fixture is postponed has its verdict withdrawn rather than counted.

The whole record is on the accuracy page, broken down by league and by betting pattern, and the same figures are available as a downloadable dataset — free to use with attribution, so the claim can be checked rather than taken on trust.
