Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
This policy explains how we collect, use and share personal information when you use AccuScore — our website, applications and related services (the “Service”).
The data controller is Skillbet Ltd., a company registered in Malta under Company Registration No. C76440, with its registered office at 10, Level 1, Lapsi Street, St. Julian’s STJ 1261, Malta. AccuScore is a trading name of Skillbet Ltd.
This policy applies alongside our Terms and Conditions.
The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us:
- Account details — email address, display name, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Newsletter sign-up — your email address and the consent you gave, if you opt in to the daily picks email.
- Messages you send to our AI assistant, and the assistant’s replies.
- Support correspondence.
Information created by your use of the Service:
- Subscription status and billing identifiers from our payment processor (a customer ID and a subscription ID). We never see or store your full card number.
- Display preferences — such as your odds format (American or decimal) and which layout you were shown.
- Mobile push-notification tokens, if you enable notifications in the app.
- Analytics events (page views, feature usage) — only if you consent. See §5.
- Standard server logs, including IP address, for security, rate limiting and abuse prevention.
We do not collect payment card data, government identifiers, biometric data, or precise geolocation, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Service — creating your account, authenticating you, and showing the content your plan includes.
- To take payment and manage subscriptions, trials, renewals and cancellations.
- To send transactional messages (password resets, billing notices) and, if you opted in, the daily picks email.
- To answer your questions through the AI assistant and support.
- To keep the Service secure — detecting fraud, abuse, automated scraping and brute-force attempts.
- To understand and improve how the Service is used, where you have consented to analytics.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, service improvement), consent (analytics and marketing email), and legal obligation.
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- PostHog — product analytics, only after you consent.
- Resend — delivery of transactional and opt-in emails.
- CookieYes — recording your cookie-consent choices.
- Anthropic — the AI model that powers the assistant and generated article previews. Your messages are sent to it to produce a reply.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our servers and database.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Sports data and odds come from third-party feeds and contain no personal information about you.
5. Cookies and Analytics
We set a small number of first-party cookies:
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in. Strictly necessary.
- Consent cookie — remembers your cookie choice.
- Preference cookies — your odds format and assigned layout.
Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them. Until you do, no analytics tooling loads and no analytics identifier is created. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
6. How Long We Keep It
We keep account information for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete the account record and associated data — profile, preferences, chat history and push tokens. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes. We may retain limited records where needed for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.
7. Security
We protect your information with measures including password hashing, access controls, rate limiting on authentication, and restricted administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where the law requires.
8. Your Rights
You can download everything we hold about you and permanently delete your account at any time from Privacy & your data in your account. No request form is needed.
Everyone, wherever you are. We apply the access, export and deletion tools above to every user, not only to those whose local law requires them. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, anywhere.
United States. Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to obtain a copy, to request deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
EEA and UK residents. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority or with our lead authority, the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC), Malta.
To exercise a right we cannot serve through the account tools, contact us at the address in §11. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
9. International Transfers
We are established in Malta and your data is processed within the EU by default. Several of our service providers — including Stripe, PostHog, Resend, CookieYes and Anthropic — are based in the United States, so some personal data is transferred outside the EEA. Those transfers are made under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses together with supplementary technical and organisational measures, or to recipients covered by an adequacy decision such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards using the contact details in §11.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above and, where required, notified to you. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
