Gold Pick of the Day: NYC-NE Over 4.5 at +440
AccuScore's simulation engine flags a juicy long-shot total in Thursday's New England @ New York City clash: Over 4.5 goals at +440 (BetVictor), carrying a model-backed +15.1% EV off a 24.1% hit probability. When a total this inflated still clears double-digit EV, it's the kind of number that separates a squares bet from a sharp one — and it's our Gold Pick of the Day.
The AccuScore Projection
Across 10,000 simulations, AccuScore has New York City in firm control at home, winning 61.1% of the time against New England's 17.1%, with a draw landing 21.8% of sims. The projected scoreline comes in at NE 1.1 – NYC 2.2, and the single most common exact result is NE 1, NYC 2, hitting in 9.8% of simulated outcomes.
The model's baseline total sits at 3 goals, with the Over 3 clearing in 64.8% of sims — a signal this match projects as an open, goal-friendly affair rather than a defensive standoff. That combination of a competitive-but-clear home favorite and a total that consistently pushes past the book's line is exactly why the value has bled into the inflated Over 4.5 number: the simulation sees enough scoring pathways here that the market's +440 price is underestimating how often this game gets shootout-y.
Players to Watch
| Player | Prop | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Nicolas Mercau | Anytime Goalscorer | 56% |
| Carles Gil de Pareja Vicent | Anytime Goalscorer | 52% |
| Axel Agustín Ojeda | Anytime Goalscorer | 52% |
| Keaton Alexander Parks | Anytime Goalscorer | 34% |
| Andrés Felipe Perea Castañeda | Anytime Goalscorer | 15% |
| Dor Turgeman | Anytime Goalscorer | 13% |
Mercau leads the field at a coin-flip-plus 56% to find the net, with Gil de Pareja Vicent and Ojeda both close behind at 52%. All three sitting north of 50% underpins the model's expectation that goals come from multiple directions in this one — reinforcing the Over lean across markets.
Every Market, Every Edge
| Market | Pick | Odds (Book) | EV |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moneyline | NYC ML | +138 (Unibet) | +22.7% |
| Total | Over 3 | +114 (Unibet) | +6.4% |
| Total | Under 3 | -154 (Unibet) | -9.7% |
| Moneyline | NE ML | +206 (Pinnacle) | -23.8% |
The real standout on this board isn't even the headline play — NYC Moneyline at +138 (Unibet) carries the single-largest edge on the sheet at +22.7% EV, and it lines up cleanly with the 61.1% win probability AccuScore assigns the hosts. The straightforward Over 3 at +114 also clears value at +6.4% EV, giving bettors a lower-variance way to play the same over-friendly read that fuels the Over 4.5 Gold Pick. Fade the Under 3 and the NE Moneyline — both show clear negative EV against the model's numbers.
The Bottom Line
AccuScore's read is consistent top to bottom: NYC controls this game, and goals flow more freely than the market total suggests. The Over 4.5 at +440 is the boldest way to play that read, backed by real model edge, with NYC ML and Over 3 offering complementary, lower-variance value if you want to spread the risk.
